INFORMATION ON ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

Free shuttle buses from Prague to Cesky Krumlov will be available for all registered participants on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Departure point will be in front of the building of Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB), Flemingovo namesti 2, Prague 6 (please see the map). The first bus will depart at 4 p.m. (16.00); the second one at 4.45 p.m. (16.45) and the third one at 5.30 pm (17:30) - the journey takes ca 3.5 h. Please note that you should get from the airport to IOCB on your own (see instructions below). Please try to schedule your flight so that you arrive at 15.00 at the latest to safely catch the bus. If you arrive in the morning, there will be a possibility to leave your luggage at the reception of IOCB during the day and do some sightseeing in Prague.

 

The departure from Cesky Krumlov back to Prague will be organized on Friday June 10 at7:30 and 8.00 a.m. and the buses will go first to the airport and then to IOCB. The arrival to the airport is expected at 11:30 and 12.00 at the latest so any afternoon flights should be possible to catch.

About one month before the event, all participants will be asked to fill an "Additional information form" where you will be asked to subscribe for the buses (or alternatively, inform us that you are not willing to use the bus transport and want to come to Cesky Krumlov and/or back on your own). In case you are not going to stay for the whole duration of the conference (either arrive later or leave earlier), please inform us by e-mail to: org@scnac.com (please note that we will not provide you any individual free transport to or from Cesky Krumlov but we may assist you in finding the best public transport option).

 

Transport from the airport to the IOCB

The simplest way is taking a taxi (the price should not exceed 600 CZK - approx. 25 EUR) or an Uber (cheaper).

Or you can use public transport. At Vaclav Havel Airport, exit the arrivals hall (Terminals 1 and 2) to find the bus stop. Take bus No. 119 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then change to Metro (tube, underground), line A/green, to the station Dejvická. Ticket price for this journey will be 40 CZK. Tickets are available in newspaper stand at Airport Arrival Hall, or in vending machines at bus stops, and should be available also in the bus (with additional charge). Do not forget to validate your ticket after getting on. The whole journey takes 32 minutes. Bus and Metro operate between 04 - 24 h daily, and time intervals between connections range between 10 - 20 min. After getting off at the Dejvická station please follow the map  and walk to IOCB for about 5 min.

There are no restrictions. For entry to the Czech Republic, you need only valid passport (or visa, in some cases - please check the info availaible here).
